Rob joined Herbert Geer as a partner in 2006. Rob has over 20 years experience in environmental and planning law, with a more recent focus on the emerging environmental markets such as carbon trading and biodiversity management. He has experience in sustainable development issues in all areas of property development.

- Sustainable development issues (such as green leases and ratings) in commercial and residential development
- Land contamination and brown field redevelopment
- Climate change, biodiversity trading and related emerging environmental markets
- Waste management, pollution control, environmental impact assessment, environmental audits of corporate transactions and operations
- Asbestos and related occupational health and safety issues
Rob is a regular presenter at prominent seminars and conferences on environmental law matters. He currently chairs the NSW Sustainable Development Committee for the Property Council of Australia.
