Pro Bono

The term “pro bono” (‘for the public good’) involves work undertaken by law firms and lawyers in providing assistance to those who need legal representation but who cannot obtain representation because they cannot afford it and would thereby suffer an injustice. This advice typically extends not only to individuals but also charitable and other non-profit organisations.

Herbert Geer encourages legal staff and support staff to contribute to others in the community through the firm’s pro bono work. The efforts of the staff who participate in a variety of ways, both during office hours and afterwards is recognised within the firm.
