Chris joined Herbert Geer as a partner in 2008, and practices in the area of Employment and Workplace Relations. Chris has extensive experience in the Victorian and Federal Industrial Relations tribunals, and advises and represents employers on issues involved in unjust dismissal claims, anti-discrimination claims, new award applications, enterprise bargaining and industrial disputes.  

Chris has broad experience representing corporate clients in industrial disputes and employment disputes in the Australian Industrial Relations Commission (AIRC), the Victorian Supreme Court, the Federal Court and Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.  

His expertise in the area of Workplace Relations is based on a thorough understanding of the commercial implications of the Workplace Relations Act 1996.  

Chris advises and defends corporate clients in relation to investigations and prosecutions by government regulators including the Workplace Ombudsman and the Office of the Workplace Rights Advocate.
