Herbert Geer took part in the recent Property Industry Foundation (PIF) annual charity yachting regatta, which raised more than $300,000 to help children in need.
Herbert Geer sponsored a spectator boat for the event, which saw around 120 yachts compete in Sydney Harbour for line honours.
Herbert Geer is a major supporter of the Foundation, which was formed in 1996 by leaders of the industry to mobilise the industry's resources to assist charitable organisations providing services to youth at risk. In 2008, Partner Kylie Matthews was appointed to the Board of Advisors for the Property Industry Foundation.
The money raised from the regatta will support the foundation’s various building projects which assist children’s charities in building emergency accommodation, education centres and counselling facilities.
